Organizational Procedure

At DES, we believe that producing a top quality project demands the most technically competent professionals. Nonetheless, successful completion of a project depends on effective project management which begins at the top. DES President, Tom Daley, oversees the entire management process of every project, assuring open communications between all parties on a project, including communications with the client, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and- where required- the public.

Project Tracking

The time sensitivity of most projects makes adherence to path scheduling critical. DES reviews the progress of all projects daily to ensure their timely completion and to identify potential problems that could interfere with deadlines. In the event that unforeseen circumstances arise, which might affect the completion or scope of a project, DES notifies the client immediately and provides recommendations to assist the client in subsequent decision-making.

Subcontractors/Subconsultants

The high quality of Daley Environmental Services depends on our use of specialized subconsultants. We select subconsultants based on their prior experience, their professional reputation, and their ability to complete a task cost-effectively. We monitor all subconsultants throughout the project to ensure work quality, scheduling, and budget adherence.

We hire subcontractors for drilling/well installation, laboratory services, earthwork, surveying, and waste disposal. By bidding the work to qualified firms, we secure the best prices for quality workmanship. All subcontractors must be insured, licensed and employ only properly trained personnel. Moreover, we supervise all subcontractor site work for proper specifications and completion.

Range of Qualifications

At DES, we fully understand the regulatory process governing the assessment and restoration of soil and groundwater impacted by containments. We are especially qualified to assess a containment discharge, complete source removal, design remedial systems, and complete restoration of soil and groundwater conditions to acceptable levels.

We have extensive experience in conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s) which are commonly required for most commercial property transfers. We also proved the purchaser a measure of comfort against an environmental liability.

DES personnel and associates have completed many installations and/or removals of pollutant storage systems, including an assessment of potential soil and groundwater impacts. Clients have frequently used our waste management services to provide for the proper handling, transportation and disposal of generated hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Our expertise also extends to detailed investigations of soil and groundwater and the analysis of changes that could be anticipated by the construction of landfills, wastewater treatment plants, and the discharge of effluent reuse water. These hydrogeologic investigations also include the development of groundwater monitoring plans used to detect potential containment discharges.
